Things just work out. At one time, I was an English-Japanese bi-lingual workplace consultant who helped big companies transform the office and the ways people worked to match the information - communication technologies disrupted the workplace by being a living example. At the same time I was a business consultant, I was a full time mother of three boys, very much leading the ways they learned. I wanted to create a place where anyone can come in to work and learn, regardless of their ages, the kind of place that my sons and I needed as my sons were growing up. The kind of place that I still need to work, learn and grow today as a simultaneous interpreter, marketing resarcher, English learner’s guide. One thing for sure. We whatever we do, we need good food and drinks as we work, as we learn. See the connection?

かつて私は、日英バイリンガルのワークプレイスコンサルタントでした。オフィスワーカーの働き方は、１９８０年代から２０００年代にかけてのICTの進化で大きく変化しましたが働く場はそれに追いついていませんでした。大企業に対して一番効果的だったのは、私自身が新しい働き方の実践者となる事でした。同時にその頃私は3人の息子の母親として、彼らの学びを導くことにも力を入れていました。

昔息子たちと私が必要としていた、そして今の私自身が働き、学び、成長するために必要としている、年齢に関係なく誰もが仕事や学びのために集える場。また、その場を機能させるには、心も体も満たす食事と飲み物が必須です。私は今現役の同時通訳です。そうしながらも、今まで私が培ってきた英語における、外国文化でのコミュニケーションを教える時間を徐々に増やしています。多くの子どもたちが、世界の言語である英語と慣れ親しみながら学べる場創りをしながら。好きな事を一生懸命やる。株式会社きかいが進む道です。
